Trainer Chris Waller's bet hope in the Sebring Sprint is Pressday

Trainer Chris Waller believes Pressday is his best hope of winning the Group 2 Sebring Sprint at Rosehill Racecourse this Saturday.

Pressday finished seventh in his only other start this preparation and Waller believes he has improved greatly off that run.

Waller is also hopeful that the favourable barrier of three will make all the difference in the $200,000 race.

“Bad barriers blew his confidence in the autumn,” Waller said.

“Fortunately he has drawn well this Saturday.

“It’s probably 100 metres short and it’s a quality field, but he’s drawn well to at least hold a position and finish the race off strongly.

“I’m really happy with the way he’s going.”

Waller has two other runners, Triple Honour and Foreteller, in the 1,300 metre race, but believes Pressday is in with the greatest chance due to the suitable distance.

“Pressday is probably fit and most suited to the distance (out of the stable’s three runners),” Waller said.

“The other two will improve with the run and Foreteller especially needs further.”

The four-year-old Pressday has won five of his 12 career starts and has won more than $820,000 in prize money.
