The three-year-old is currently unbeaten across all six of his career starts.

Pierro cemented his position as Australia’s leading two-year-old last season by winning the $3.5 million Golden Slipper Stakes at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse in April.

He then continued his assault on the autumn carnival with wins in the Group 1 Inglis Sires Produce Stakes and Group 1 Champagne Stakes.

The latter win saw Pierro outclass Black Caviar’s half brother All Too Hard, who has won a number of Group races himself.

All Too Hard also features in the Caulfield Guineas nominations.

Melbourne Racing Club CEO, Alasdair Robertson, is overjoyed with the number of quality nominations for the Caulfield Guineas.

“We are thrilled to have a couple of wonderful colts in Pierro – just the sixth horse in Australian racing history to complete the two-year-old triple crown and son of a former Guineas champion in Lonhro – and All Too Hard – who needs no introduction as Black Caviar’s budding star younger sibling – aimed at the Guineas from this range,” Mr Robertson said.

“And we’re also very excited about the prospect of seeing Samaready again during our carnival.”

Samaready won the Blue Diamond Stakes as a two-year-old during the autumn and is expected to feature prominently in the Melbourne spring racing carnival.

The More Than Ready filly, who has won four of her six race starts, has earned more than $1.2 million in prize money during her short career.

The Caulfield Guineas nominations also feature the likes of Dear Demi and Epaulette.
