Pierro will be forced to contest the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas from the second widest gate in the field, after drawing barrier seven for the race.

The Lonhro colt is currently unbeaten across his past eight race starts and has accrued more than $3.15 million in prize money.

The three-year-old will be looking to keep his flawless record alive in the $1 million race, ahead of a planned run in the Cox Plate on October 27.

Pierro, who has remained the $1.30 favourite for the race despite the draw, is trained at Flemington by Gai Waterhouse.

Waterhouse is unlikely to be fazed by Pierro’s barrier after his sizzling track gallop at Flemington this morning.

Track clocker, Warren Huntley, witnessed the gallop and confirmed that Pierro left everyone speechless after this latest demonstration of his talent.

“He was flying, they don’t go much faster than that,” Huntley said.

“He’s tightened up a little since his Moonee Valley win and he is right on song for the Caulfield Guineas.”

All Too Hard will be given every chance to perform in the Caulfield Guineas after drawing barrier three for the race.

The half-brother to supermare Black Caviar will be looking to make the most of his ideal draw this weekend.

All Too Hard has made a habit of missing the start this spring, which may well have contributed to his winless preparation.

The Casino Prince colt has won three of his seven race starts and has earned more than $450,000 in prize money.

The inside barrier has been drawn by Let Go Lenni in the Caulfield Guineas, who remains an outside chance to win the race.

Let Go Lenni will be having just his fourth career start in the 1,600 metre race and will be out to claim his second ever race win.

His most recent result was a close second to Epaulette in the Group 3 Guineas Prelude last start.

With a relatively small Guineas field, Golden Rose winner Epaulette’s camp are likely to be pleased with gate six in the race.
