In a nice change from his Hong Kong snub at the end of the year Atomic Force is now commanding a host of international attention.

Contact has been made from Singapore and even Royal Ascot in the UK as the gelding cashes in on his Group 1 Railway Stakes victory in New Zealand.

Trainer Darren Smith would be particularly pleased given he so desperately wanted to run him in the Hong Kong Sprint at Sha Tin but the Hong Kong Jockey Club found he wasn’t worthy.

He’s previously said that Singapore is a very real consideration with the Krisflyer Sprint in May the major carrot.

Royal Ascot was a prospect Smith hadn’t even considered before receiving the offer and it leaves him in a fantastic position when weighing up the six year olds autumn program.

No decisions will be made any time soon though with Smith just wanting to get the horse home in one piece.

‘He will definitely go for a spell now. He deserves the break, “Smith said.

‘We will get him home, put him in a paddock and give him a blow.

“I am not sure if he would be up to going to England, but there will be plenty of chances to win more big races in the future.

“Once I am sure he wants to go back to racing I will work out a preparation for him.”

Atomic Force could only muster second spot in the Group 1 Telegraph Handicap last start but it was still a hugely successful New Zealand trip earning him his second major title adding to the Galaxy win he claimed last autumn.
