Ours To Keep opened at a quote of $7.50 when the Magic Millions Classic field was released earlier this week, but there has been an avalanche of money for the Chris Munce-trained juvenile in the last 24 hours and he is now pressing for favouritism.

The Seidnazar colt made his racing debut with a dominant victory in the Skytrans Plate (1050m) at Doomben on October 1 before he stamped himself as a genuine Magic Millions Classic contender with wins in the Listed Phelan Ready Stakes (1110m) at Doomben on December 17 and the Group 3 BJ McLachlan Plate (1200m) at Eagle Farm on December 31.

From Within and Houtzen have both drifted in the past 24 hours, but they remain locked in a battle for favouritism in the Magic Millions Classic.

Houtzen looked set to start the Magic Millions Classic as a clear favourite following his dominant win in the First National Real Estate Handicap (1100m) at the Gold Coast on January 7, but he has been a big drifter since he was allocated the outside barrier earlier in the week.

From Within has the opportunity to become the first horse to win the Magic Millions Classic in just their second race start and she remains a narrow favourite at a price of $4.20.

The Not A Single Doubt filly made her racing debut with a classy win at Canterbury on New Year’s Eve and Glyn Schofield, Chris Waller and Hugh Bowman have been brimming in praise for the two-year-old.

The only other horses that are currently available at single-figure Magic Millions Classic odds are Madeenaty ($8) and Invincible Star ($8).

Madeenaty looked like a star in the making when she recorded a very nice win on debut in the Maribyrnong Trial Stakes (1000m) at Flemington on October 2, but she was a big drifter following her narrow in the Wyong Magic Millions Classic on December 22.

Invincible Star has not been seen at the races since she won the Ottawa Stakes on Melbourne Cup Day, but Gai Waterhouse has an outstanding record in the Magic Millions Classic and she has been kept safe by bookmakers.

There has been a sprinkling of support for Chauffeur ($21 into $19), Champ Elect ($31 into $26), Cellargirl ($31 into $26) and Invader ($41 into $21), while Goodfella ($17 out to $19), Arrestar ($101 out to $151) and Real Princess ($67 out to $91) have all been on the drift.
