Toowoomba filly Sold For Song was out of luck at the barrier draw for the Group 3 $125,000 XXXX Sunshine Coast Guineas (1600m) at the Sunshine Coast on Saturday, coming up with gate twelve in the fifteen horse field.

Brisbane’s leading apprentice James Orman has retained the mount on Sold For Song after the filly was rewarded for some consistent Winter Carnival form with a last start win in the Listed $125,000 Landfill Logistics Daybreak Lover (1400m) at Eagle Farm last Saturday.
“She’s so honest. She’s something special,” Kemp said.
At her previous start the Collate filly was only beaten a length and half by the Chris Waller trained Tsarita when third in the Group 2 $400,000 MIRVAC Queensland Guineas (1600m) at Eagle Farm on June 11.
The Mike Moroney trained Tivaci has drawn well at barrier two with Damian Browne taking the ride again after the pair finished sixth last start to Tsaritsa in the Queensland Guineas.
Tivaci showed that he had plenty of ability during the Melbourne Autumn Carnival with a narrow in the Group 3 $150,000 C S Hayes Stakes (1400m) at Flemington.
Perfect Dare has drawn the outside of the fifteen horse field of three year olds and will need plenty of luck to improve on his last start fifth to Sold For Song in the Daybreak Lover last Saturday.
Brisbane’s leading jockey Jim Byrne has been aboard Perfect Dare for his last five starts and gets the nod again this week.
The number one barrier draw should help Victorian colt Mr Individual get around the Sunshine Coast track after he had trouble handling the clockwise way of going when tenth to Tsaritsa in the Queensland Guineas.
Co-trainers Leon and Troy Corstens have barrier trialled Mr Individual since to give him more experience at going the Queensland way of racing.
“He trialled very nicely,” Troy Corstens told AAP.
“He got a severe prat early in the Queensland Guineas and he didn’t race generously after that. He was a bit of a handful for Ollie (jockey Damien Oliver) and he wanted to hang badly around the corner.
“So we were keen to get him around a tight track that way of going, just to give him that bit more education.
“We’ve done that and it will top him off for next Saturday’s race.”
BTC Cup winning jockey Glen Colless rode Mr Individual when he won his Gold Coast trial and gets the mount in the Sunshine Coast Guineas.
Jockey Kerrin McEvoy should be able to give High Spirit the run of the race after the High Chaparral colt drew barrier three.
The Peter and Paul Snowden trained High Spirit ran the best race of his career with a last start when fourth in the Queensland Guineas.
