Admiral returned to winning form with a blistering performance for success in the Listed Conquering Stakes (1400m) a fortnight ago and will leave from barrier 7 in the Tasmanian Stakes.

Having fast become the stable start for Barry Campbell, Admiral has posted an impressive ten wins and three minors through only fifteen competitive starts since first appearing on course in 2013.

Finding exceptional form upon resuming this year, the Mossman gelding charged home to win the Listed Tasmanian Guineas (1600m) on January 11th; progressing to second in the Listed Thomas Lyons Stakes (1400m) before beating the likes of The Cleaner to the line in the Listed George Adams Plate (1600m) on February 25th.

Undoubtedly underlining his class when fifth behind the likes of Wandjina, Stratum Star and Kermadec in the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) on March 7th, Admiral clearly needed the run when fifth in the Listed Tasmanian Newmarket Handicap (1200m) first-up on November 18th.

Mick Price has been pleased with the form displayed by Eximius through his recent starts and has confirmed the gelding in the 2015 Tasmanian Stakes field.

Claiming five wins and eight minors through 36 career starts, Eximius returned this time for a credible eighth in the Listed Weekend Hussler Stakes (1400m) on October 10th before failing to fire when beating only one runner home in the Listed Sale Cup (1600m).

Running on for a close second in the Listed Kilmore Cup (1600m) on November 22nd, the Exceed And Excel gelding savaged the line for third in the Yarraman Village Plate (1600m) a fortnight ago and appears as though he will relish the Launceston conditions on Wednesday night.

Former US galloper Kindergarden Kid is a Group 1 placegetter and proven performer over the distance, but will contest the 2015 Tasmanian Stakes first-up following close to a year and a half in the paddock.

A son of famed stallion Dynaformer, Kindergarden Kid has posted five wins and eight minors through 30 career starts since first appearing on course in early 2010.

Noel Callow has picked up the ride on the eight-year-old, who will leave from the rails draw in the Tasmanian Stakes.

Streetwise Savoire has posted a number of typically strong results through three starts this time including fourth in the Conquering Stakes last start and could receive the run of the race on Wednesday night from barrier 4, while Geegees Goldengirl should also be right in the finish from alley 3 and only 57kgs in tow.
