Weather fine, track good for BMW Day

The weather is fine, the rail is in the 4m position and the track is rated a good 4 for The BMW day at Rosehill today that has a final scratching tally of twelve across the nine race program.

New Zealand mare Rising Romance is the only scratching in the weight for age Group 1 $1.5m The BMW (2400m) after being withdrawn on Thursday because of an ongoing hoof problem.

Co-trainers David Hayes and Tom Dabernig have elected to run Australian Cup runner up Extra Zero at Rosehill and have withdrawn him from the Listed $350,000 Mornington Cup (2400m) at Mornington today.

The field for The BMW will see eleven horses take their place with the highly rated Japanese galloper To The World remaining the $2.25 favourite with Ladbrokes.com.au.

The field for the Group 1 $400,000 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) stays intact with no scratchings with fourteen fillies to go around.

The John Thompson trained First Seal dominates the betting and remains the overnight favourite at $1.95.

Scratchings for the rest of the meeting are: Race 1 –  2 Pasadena Girl, 13 Rhode Assassin, 14 Cracklin’ Rosie.

Race 2 – 3 Snippet’s Land, 4 Zin Zan Eddie.

Race 3 – 9 Any Day Will Do.

Race 4 – 2 Dear Demi, 12 Thinking Of You.

Race 5 – Peron.

Race 9 – 4 Mouro, 9 Index Linked.
