Amicus started her 2015 Spring Racing Carnival campaign with a fast-finishing victory in the Group 3 Toy Show Quality (1300m) at Royal Randwick on August 22 and she beat some of the best mares in the country to take out the Group 2 Let’s Elope Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on September 12.

The Fastnet Rock mare was given a chance against the boys for the first time in the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on September 26, but she was never able to get into the race and she finished 16th before Waller elected to scratch the four-year-old from the Group 1 Toorak Handicap (1600m) at Caulfield last Saturday.

Catkins finished third behind Sweet Idea in the Group 2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield last year, but she will have the chance to go two better and return to her best form in the 2015 edition of the race.

The popular grey was friendless in betting when she returned to the races in the Group 3 Sheraco Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens on September 12, but she stormed home from the tail to field to record a memorable victory, but she was unable to replicate the performance as an odds-on favourite in the Group 2 Golden Pendant (1400m) at Rosehill Gardens on September 26 and she finished a disappointing fifth.

Another stable with multiple mares in the 2015 Tristarc Stakes nominations is Team Freedman, who have included both Hazard and Lucky Lago in the entries.

Hazard has been plagued by poor barrier this preparation and she tired late after leading in the Group 2 Blazer Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on October 4, while Lucky Lago finished a fast-finishing third in the same race.

The Hope Stable also have two runners in the Tristarc Stakes nominations and both Sabatini and Madam Gangster will represent the stable that will face Racing Victoria stewards on Thursday to answer cobalt charges.

Sabatini is one of the most consistent mares in the country and she returned to the races with a fast-finishing win at Caulfield on September 15, while Madam Gangster bounced back to a semblance of her best form in the Blazer Stakes.

Talented mare Gregers, Luke Oliver-trained Jessy Belle, Blazer Stakes winner La Passe, Jason Coyle-trained Slightly Sweet, the resuming Solicit, last start winner Trupt and Symon Wilde-trained Tycoon Tara are other notable mares in the 2015 Tristarc Stakes nominations.
