Well-travelled mare Unchain My Heart made it a hat-trick wins when she prevailed in a slogging finish in the K Line Australia Hcp 89 Hcp (3000m) at Moonee Valley tonight.

A winner in three states, the daughter of Al Maher scored in an action packed race, with average rides and unlucky runners the theme.

Jockey Dwayne Dunn settled Unchain My Heart in fifth position behind Star Of Jeune who worked hard early to lead.

It overrace as apprentice Jordan Mallyon tried to slow the pace.

Jockey Craig Newitt had different ideas aned set Interaq alight at the 1600m from last.

It took on Star Of Jeune from the 1200m putting an end to the chances of both horses.

Before the turn Crafty Cruiser took over the lead with Lyonell up challenging.

Katelyn Mallyon aboard Prussian Officer traveled easily between the two with Dunn on their inner.

Dunn pushed out and Prussian Officer recevied severe interference and dropped out.

Back in the field was the favourite Jumpin Jack Crash between horses unable to get clear.

At the turn Lyonell moved up to Craft Cruiser with Unchain My Heart third.

All were shown the whip but Dunn’s mount was the superior stayer.

The David Hayes-trained mare won her previous two starts at Randwick (2600m) and Canterbury (2800m).

“I rode her some time ago and made a prediction these (staying races) could be her go,” Dunn said.

“David has placed her well in Sydney and she has got here really fit.”

Unchain My Heart won her maiden in South Australia and has earned over $100,000.
