Tried And Tired is the winner of seven races from twenty-three starts but has been out of the winner’s stall for almost twelve months.

The Niello six year old last collected a winning cheque in December last year when he beat Lord Of The Sky in the Listed $120,000 Jackie Loughlin Christmas Stakes (1200m) at Sandown.

At eight runs since he has been in the placings on three occasions, his latest two starts back during the Winter when second to Charmed Harmony in an $80,000 Handicap at Caulfield on July 4.

Tried And Tired had one more Winter outing before being sent for a break when ninth to Amovatio in the Listed $150,000 VRC-CRV Winter Championship Series Final (1600m) at Flemington on July 11.

Hard Stride is next in the weights with 59.5kg and the Street Sense gelding is also trying to break a winning drought after not entering the winner’s stall since February when he won an $80,000 1200m BenchMark 96 Handicap at Flemington.

The Matthew Ellerton and Simon Zahra trained five year old has been unplaced from five runs this campaign, his latest being a fifth in a $70,000 1200m Ballarat Handicap on November 21.

Warwick Farm trainer Joe Pride has nominated smart Sydney sprinter Diamond Oasis for the Doveton Stakes and he has been given 58.5kg along with Reldas, Office Bearer and Crane.

Pride has alternated Diamond Oasis between Sydney and Melbourne during the Spring with his best effort being two starts back when second to Tawteen in a 955m Moonee Valley Handicap on October 24.

But the Lonhro five year old failed to handle the wet track last start when last of six in an $85,000 BenchMark 93 Handicap at Rosehill on November 14.

Reldas will head to Sandown in fine form with two wins and a second from his three starts this campaign.

The Robert Smerdon trained gelding won twice at Moonee Valley over 955m and then over 1200m before finishing second to Malaguerra in a $100,000 Handicap over 1400m at Flemington on the last day of the four day Melbourne Cup Carnival.

The Peter Moody trained Office Bearer will be fitter for one back from a spell and the 1000m of the Doveton Stakes will suit him second up after his first up third to The Quarterback in the Listed $150,000 Dilmah Earl Grey Stakes (1000m) down the Flemington straight on Crown Oaks Day.

Wild Rain will carry 58kg in the Doveton Stakes and has been racing in good form with two seconds from two starts this campaign in the Dilmah Earl Grey Stakes and in the $100,000 Magic Millions 3&4 YO Classic over 1100m at Ballarat on November 21.

The Mark Kavanagh trained Wild Rain showed her liking for the sprint distances with a win in the Listed $100,000 Lightning Stakes (1050m) at Morphettville on July 25.
