Traveston Girl is one of four runners trainer Tony Gollan has entered along with Best Of The Rest, First Bloom and Trakstar.

Gollan’s four horses are among the fifteen nominations for the Brisbane Handicap with the Brisbane Racing Club extending entries until 9am Brisbane time on Tuesday December 1, 2015.

Brisbane’s leading trainer took Traveston Girl to Melbourne for one Spring Carnival run where she ran fifth to Scarlet Billows in the Group 3 $200,000 Hong Kong Jockey Club Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day.

She then returned home to lead all of the way to win the Listed $100,000 Tattersall’s Recognition Stakes (1600m) at Doomben on November 21.

Best Of The Rest also went around in the Recognition Stakes and made up plenty of ground in the straight to finish fourth.

Trakstar is stepping up in distance after a ninth in the Listed $100,000 One Key Resources Keith Noud Handicap (1200m) at Doomben on November 14 while First Bloom will be given her chance in the Listed Brisbane Handicap after winning a 2040m BenchMark 78 Handicap Moonee Valley on November 13.

Shotover River ran an eye catching first up second to Traveston Girl and is one of two horses Eagle Farm co-trainers John, Dan and Chris Meagher have nominated for the Brisbane Handicap.

Their other entry Revitalise is a three time winner over this course and distance and will strip fitter for his first up eighth in a BenchMark 75 Handicap at the Sunshine Coast on November 20.

The Robert Heathcote trained Hopfgarten is also a winner over the Doomben 1600m and has returned from a unsuccessful Melbourne Spring Carnival campaign that saw him unplaced from four starts.

Heathcote has also nominations the Fastnet Rock six year old Bewhatyouwannabe who is also a winner over the same course and distance as the Brisbane Handicap.
