Jalan Jalan has won two of her four race starts, which includes a debut win in 1000m Mornington two year old Handicap on May 20.

Two starts later the Foreplay filly scored a runaway three lengths win in the $80,000 The Flemington Family Handicap (1200m) for two year olds on July 18 before running second to the Ciaron Maher trained Petits Filous in the Group 3 $150,000 Lister Quezette Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield last Saturday.

Little is mindful of the fact that Jalan Jalan has been in work for several months and a week in the paddock will give her a break and give him time to decide what is best her in the long term.

“She is spending the week in the paddock,’’ Little told The Herald Sun.

“She has been in training since May and they cannot go forever. It was a super run and I’d like to continue, but there is always the autumn to consider.”

Jalan Jalan ran a mighty race in the Quezette Stakes but found the winner Petits Filous too classy on the day.

Maher is also undecided if Petits Filous will progress to the Thousand Guineas and might keep the Street Boss filly to the short sprint distances over the Spring Carnival.

“We’ll see how she pulls up and make a plan for her,” Maher said.

“Maybe a race like the Coolmore at Flemington will suit but we’ll see what Damien thinks as well.”

Maher was referring to the Group 1 $500,000 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on October 31 which has been won by Sydney’s premier trainer Chris Waller for the last two years with Zoustar and Brazen Beau.

In early Thousand Guineas betting with Ladbrokes.com.au Jalan Jalan is on the second line at $8 behind the Peter Moody trained Pasadena Girl who has been installed the $7 favourite.

Gai Waterhouse’s Golden Slipper runner up English is next in the market order at $10 with Alaskan Rose, Lake Geneva and Miss Gunpowder all marked at $15 while Petits Filous is a $17 chance.
