With her proud family waiting for her return to the winner’s stall on Miracles Of Life, Stojakovic was coming to terms that she had just taken out the richest two old race in Victoria on the Daniel Clarken trained filly.

Stojakovic and Clarken travelled from Adelaide to take on the might of the powerful stables in Melbourne, including the Peter Moody and Peter Snowden camps who supplied six runners between them, and took away the spoils with a little filly nicknamed Barbie.

Stojakovic pushed all the pre-race pressure to the side as she rode a faultless race on the favourite and from the inside barrier took up a perfect position just behind the leading bunch and when a run presented itself on the point of the home turn, she pushed Miracles Of Life through and the race was all but over.

“It worked out more perfect than I could have imagined really,” Stojakovic said.

“I jumped her out smartly, gave her a little push to keep her handy and sat behind the speed. Approaching the turn they just opened a run for me.”

“I quickly pushed her through and she just ran away. She’s awesome.”

“In the gates I said to Barbie there’s about a minute between us being good and great and after the line I told her she was just brilliant. I didn’t realise how good it could feel to cross the line in a Group 1.”

Clarken has done a superb job with Miracles Of Life and was able to produce the Not A Single Doubt filly in top order after not having raced for a month after winning the Listed $120,000 Patinack Farm Blue Diamond Preview for Fillies (1000m) at Caulfield on January 26.

Miracles Of Life started the $3.20 favourite and scored by one and a half lengths from Fast ‘N’ Rocking ($26) with Godiva Rock ($17) close up in third spot.

Second favourite Guelph was always well back in the field and wide and failed to make up any ground in the straight to finish in ninth spot.
