Stay With Me has been included in the 2015 Myer Classic field, but she may need plenty of luck in running after being allocated the outside gate for the Group 1 event that will be held at Flemington on Saturday.

There was plenty of hype surrounding Stay With Me before she even made her racing debut due to the fact that she is the progeny of champion mare Miss Finland, but she has delivered on the hype during the 2015 Spring Racing Carnival.

Stay With Me started her 2015 Spring Racing Carnival campaign with a dominant victory at Pakenham on August 20 and she proved that win was no fluke when she beat a talented field to take out the Listed Atlantic Jewel Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on September 5.

The Street Cry mare did not have a great deal of luck in running in the Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude (1400m) at Caulfield on September 26, but she highlighted her quality when she ran away from her rivals in the final stages of the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) at the same venue on October 10.

Dwayne Dunn has been the regular rider for Stay With Me this preparation, but he was unable to make the weight of 49 kilograms and Sam Clipperton is set to take the ride on the talented three-year-old.

Stay With Me is not the only Group 1 winner in the 2015 Myer Classic field and she will face stiff competition against the likes of Royal Descent.

Royal Descent is set to race in mares company for the first time since she finished fifth in the 2014 edition of the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) and she will be dropping back substantially in trip after she finished at the tail of the field in the Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m).

She will be joined in the race by Group 1 winning stablemate Amicus, who will also need to bounce back to her best form to have any chance in the Myer Classic following her flat performances in the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on September 26 and Group 2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) at the same venue on October 17.

Fenway produced a flat performance in the Group 3 David Jones Cup (2000m), but she beat May’s Dream in the Group 2 Stocks Stakes (1600m), who is the other Group 1 winner in the Myer Classic field, over this distance earlier in the 2015 Spring Racing Carnival.

One of the most interesting horses in the 2015 Myer Classic field is Darren Weir-trained La Passe, who has got to another level during what has been a very long campaign.

La Passe made her debut at Group level in the Group 2 Blazer Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on October 4 and she recorded an upset win at big odds before she proved that victory was no fluke when she took out the Tristarc Stakes last start.

Another mare that will take winning form into the 2015 Myer Classic is Robert Smerdon-trained Politeness.

Politeness returned to the races with a fast-finishing victory in the Group 3 How Now Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on September 19 and the Group 3 Northwood Plume Stakes (1200m) at the same venue on October 10.

Solicit (barrier 13), Miss Rose De Lago (barrier two), Jessy Belle (barrier 14), Atlantis Dream (barrier four), Abidewithme (barrier one), Vergara (barrier eight), Slightly Sweet (barrier four) and Azkadellia (barrier six) round out the 2015 Myer Classic field.
