Chasing her third consecutive win, the five-year-old was allowed to lead from start to finish and it again proved a successful formula as she bolted home to win by 2 1/2 lengths from Tavarnelle and Spirit Song.

Carrying the minimum weight (54kg), the daughter of Reset glided around the tight Moonee Valley track and in doing so pressed her claims for a Group 1 berth in next weekend’s Myer Classic (1600m) at Flemington.

Co-trainer Matthew Ellerton was hesitant commit to a start in the Myer Classic but did not write it off, suggesting she is in career best form.

“We’ll let the dust settle…she’s not top line. But it’s the first prep she’s ever been pain free,” Ellerton said.

“She makes her own luck. She was in well at the weights and you are happy to make your own luck when you have that weight advantage.

“Once you get mares in the groove it’s pretty good.”

Kerrin McEvoy rode her two starts back at Caulfield and was delighted to be back aboard for her first win at Group level.

“She’s a real competitor,” McEvoy said.

“She got out there and set nice fractions in front and came back underneath me from the 1000 [metre mark] and had a kick there at the 400 [metre mark].

“She’s pretty versatile and it’s good to have another winner on the day.”

Spirit Song was blocked for a run coming into the home turn but did well to carry 59kg to finish third on the back of her runner-up finish in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap two weeks ago.
