Srikandi is currently available at 2015 Doomben 10,000 odds of $5.50 and remains a clear favourite in betting markets for the Group 1 event at Doomben on Saturday.

Srikandi went into the Group 1 BTC Cup (1200m) at Doomben on May 9 on the second line of betting after she took out the Group 2 Victory Stakes (1200m) at the Gold Coast on April 25, but she missed the start by several lengths and was never able to get into the race.

Punters are keen to forgive Srikandi for her BTC Cup performance and she has been well-backed in Doomben 10,000 betting markets, but trainer Ciaron Maher admits that why she stepped from the gates so slowly in the BTC Cup remains a mystery.

Generalife is on the second line of Doomben 10,000 betting markets at a quote of $7 and the Godolphin sprinter is arguably taking the strongest form line into the race after he finished fifth behind Dissident in the Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick on April 18.

The Lonhro gelding recorded an impressive barrier trial victory over 1050 metres at Royal Randwick on May 8 and he may never have a better chance to record a maiden win at the highest level of racing.

Our Boy Malachi was beaten as favourite in the BTC Cup and he is available at a much longer price to take out the Doomben 10,000 this weekend, despite finishing a credible third in his Group 1 event.

Co-trainer Wayne Hawkes believes that Our Boy Malachi was forced to work too hard in the early stages of the BTC Cup, but the Top Echelon gelding could face similar circumstances in the Doomben 10,000.

The early market mover in the Doomben 10,000 betting market with Ladbrokes has been Bring Me The Maid, who was far from disgraced when fourth in the BTC Cup.

Trainer Peter Moody stated before the BTC Cup that Bring Me The Maid would be an even better chance over 1350 metres in the Doomben 10,000 and any rain in Brisbane is sure to enhance the chances of the Sebring filly, who has been backed from $13 into $8.

The only other horse that is available at 2015 Doomben 10,000 odds is Scissor Kick, who has remained steady at $8 since the Doomben 10,000 field was released earlier in the week.

Scissor Kick is another horse that produced a solid effort in the BTC Cup and like Bring Me The Maid he will likely by suited by the step back up to 1350 metres this weekend.

There has been a sprinkling of support in Doomben 10,000 betting markets for Boban ($26 into $18), Knoydart ($13 into $12), Flamingo Star ($19 into $17) and Time For War ($41 into $26), while Charlie Boy ($14 out to $18), Rock Sturdy ($12 out to $13) and Nite Rocker ($51 out to $71) have all been on the drift.
