So You Think has continued to dominate his European competitors, winning the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup by an incredible four and a half lengths at The Curragh on Sunday.

The five-year-old So You Think has now won both of his Irish starts with ease under new trainer Aiden O’Brien at Coolmore Stud.

O’Brien is now looking towards an England campaign for what he describes as an “incredible horse”.

“The plan was here and then the Prince of Wales’s Stakes,” O’Brien said.

The trainer is hoping jockey Ryan Moore, who rode So You Think for the first time in Sunday’s race, will continue to partner the horse in England.

“It was important that Ryan got a sit on him in a race in case he might be able to ride him at Ascot,” O’Brien said.

“Ryan was delighted with him.

“The minute he asked him, he responded immediately.”

O’Brien is relishing the opportunity to train So You Think, who was previously trained in Australia by Bart Cummings.

“When you look at him in races you notice that the others are flat to the boards around him,” O’Brien said.

“He’s incredible, a different creature to what we’ve ever seen before and we’re just very lucky to have him racing on this side of the world this year.”

O’Brien has made it clear that So You Think could be lethal at all distances against his European rivals.

“He’d have no problem winning a mile Group 1 race but we’ll take it one race at a time with him,” he said.

Jockey Ryan Moore was astounded at So You Think’s speed, putting it down to the horse’s unusually long stride.

“So You Think has a big, long stride that covers the same amount of ground most horses would take two strides to cover,” Moore said.

“He travelled very well and was impressive when I asked him to go on.”

So You Think won the Tattersall’s Gold Cup ahead of proven Group 1 winner Campanologist, who finished second, and Famous Name, who ran on for third.
