The James Cummings trained Prized Icon will be having his first start since winning the Group 1 $500,000 Moet & Chandon Champagne Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on April 16.

Hugh Bowman is back in the saddle replacing Glyn Schofield and the More Than Ready colt will jump from barrier three in the nine horse field.

Tulloch Lodge co-trainers Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott will saddle up the in-form Thronum who will be cashing his fourth win from five race starts in the Up And Coming Stakes.

Thronum has continued to please the Waterhouse-Bott stable since his last start win in the Listed $100,000 The Rosebud (1200m) at Randwick on August 6 and was one of the star workers at Randwick on Monday morning, clocking 11.7 seconds for his closing 200m of his 1000m gallop.

He is going from strength to strength is what appeared on the stable’s website.

Thronum will jump from barrier six with James McDonald taking over from Tommy Berry who was aboard the Snitzel colt in The Rosebud.

Berry takes the mount on the Team Hawkes trained Divine Prophet who has drawn the outside gate.

Divine Prophet is the winner of one race from three starts and was spelled after running third to Prized Icon in the Champagne Stakes.

Hinchinbrook colt Derryn will represent the Lindsay Park team of David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig and comes to Randwick on the back of a last start win in a 1000m two year old Handicap at Caulfield on July 30.

Derryn has drawn barrier seven with Tim Clark to ride.

Premiership winning trainer Chris Waller will saddle up last start mid-week winner Pound Sterling with Brendon Avdulla to ride from barrier two while Team Snowden have Taj Mahal jumping from gate four.
