The former Chris Waller trained Pressday finished 2nd in a $60,000 Claiming race at Santa Anita (1300m) in the United States today.
The four year old was having his first outing for US trainer John Sadler after being sent to America after having bled at last Australia start.
“He was a top horse before going off form in Australia, “ Sadler told USA Daily Racing Form. “I was looking at the Group 2 Arcadia Stakes last Saturday but decided to start him down the hill course,” Sadler said.
Pressday is still in the ownership of Lee Fleming from Eliza Park stud in Victoria who purchased the stallion as a stud prospect but decided to send him to America where the laws enable bleeders to be treated while racing.

The son of Domesday also took out the Group 2 Sandown Guineas (1600m) in November at the end of the 2010 Melbourne Spring Carnival.
Pressday was shipped to America after suffering a bleeding attack when unplaced in the Group 2 Sebring Sprint over 1300m won by Master Of Design.
