Waller will accept with Preferment who will join other Australian trained horses Criterion and Lucia Valentina to race on the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s biggest International Race Day.

The David Hayes and Tom Dabernig trained Criterion and Kris Lees’ Lucia Valentina are set to take their place in the Group 1 HK$25m Longines Hong Kong Cup (2000m) on the same day.

Top Australian jockey Hugh Bowman who is currently riding in Japan is set to team up again with Preferment after establishing a great association with the four year old during the Spring.

Preferment won the 2014 Group 1 $1.5m AAMI Victoria Derby (2500m) at Flemington with Damien Oliver aboard but Bowman was in the saddle for three of his four runs during the 2015 Spring Carnival.

Bowman and Preferment combined to win the Group 2 $200,000 Ascend Sales Trophies Hill Stakes (2000m) at Randwick on September 19 and then made it back to back wins in the Group 1 $500,000 Yellowglen Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Flemington on October 4.

Nash Rawiller then rode Preferment into ninth spot in the Group 1 $3m Cox Plate (2040m) at Moonee Valley on October 24 after Bowman chose to ride stablemate Winx who went on to score a stunning win in the ‘Weight For Age Championship’.

Bowman then hopped back on Preferment in the Group 1 $6m Emirates Melbourne Cup (3200m) at Flemington on the first Tuesday in November but the four year old was always with the backmarkers and finished in twentieth place behind Prince Of Penzance.

Waller is having an outstanding season and has already trained sixty-five Sydney Metropolitan winners as well as ten Group 1 winners throughout Australia, including his latest with Good Project in the Group 1 $1m James Boag’s Premium-Railway Stakes (1600m) at Ascot in Perth last Saturday.
