Dane Ripper Stakes casualty Peace Force has again succumbed to an eye injury and has been ruled out of the Group 1 $500,000 Sky Racing Tattersall’s Club Tiara (1400m) at the Gold Coast on June 20.

Trainer Gerald Ryan had been hopeful earlier in the week that Peace Force was recovering from the eye complaint but a relapse will see her sent for a break and not join her stablemates Solicit and Estonian Princess on the Gold Coast on Saturday week.

“She had a weeping eye and it appeared to be coming good over the weekend but had gone backwards again by Tuesday morning so we had to pull the pin,” Ryan told Racenet.

The consistent Peace Force hasn’t been out of the placings since winning a fillies and mares BenchMark 70 Handicap over 1400m at Warwick Farm last September with four more wins and four minor placings.

The Bernardini mare was spelled after running second to Mamwaazel in the Group 3 $125,000 Gosford RSL Belle Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) at Gosford on January 9.

She then returned to the race track for a second to Solicit in the Group 3 $150,000 The 2015 Darley Crown (1300m) at Rosehill on May 9 and was then able to reverse the placings with her stablemate in the Group 3 $150,000 Glenlogan Park Stakes (1350m) at Doomben on May 23.

Ryan was all set to run Peace Force in the Group 2 $300,000 Best Security Dane Ripper Stakes (1350m) at Doomben on Stradbroke Handicap Day last Saturday but had to miss the race after she was hit with the mystery eye injury.

“She must have got a whack in the eye but we don’t know how it happened,” Ryan said.

“We had to treat her which meant she couldn’t run on Saturday.”

Ryan will still have a strong hand in the Tattersall’s Club Tiara with Solicit already to head back to the Gold Coast and Estonian Princess only has to please the Rosehill trainer on the tracks this week to join her in the last Group 1 of the current racing season.

“I’ll send Estonian Princess up for it as well if she pleases me in her work this week,” Ryan said.
