More Joyous won the race by two and a half lengths ahead of the exceptional talent that is Manighar, who found himself in an unfavourable position for the majority of the race.

Secret Admirer passed the post in third, while Rangirangdoo ran home to finish fourth.

Trainer Gai Waterhouse was the first to praise jockey Nash Rawiller for his exceptional ride aboard More Joyous.

Rawiller elected to lead in the early stages of the race and proved too hard to catch while riding the talented mare in the final straight.

“How about the way he rode her?” Waterhouse said.

“He took control.”

The trainer was quick to give full credit to More Joyous, however, who won the race by two and a half lengths.

“She just annihilated them,” she said.

“The further she went the further she came away.

“It’s just a joy watching her today. It was just really very special.”

More Joyous has now won 19 of her 26 race starts and has earned more than $4.3 million in prize money during her career.

The More Than Ready mare has now won three Group 1 races during this autumn alone, with her most recent coming in the $2 million Doncaster Mile at Royal Randwick just seven days ago.

More Joyous will now head to the paddock where she will rest before her upcoming campaign in the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival.

The mare proved today that she has what it takes to win the $3 million Cox Plate that is on her agenda later in the year, easily making the 2,000 metre distance in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
