Caulfield Cup winner Mongolian Khan has been officially scratched from the Group 1 $6m Emirates Melbourne Cup (3200m) at Flemington next Tuesday.
Trained Murray Baker reported this morning that Mongolian Khan was suffering from a colic attack and following a further examination, Racing Victoria Stewards have ruled him out of the ‘Race That Stops The Nation’ next week.
“Feature Race: 03-11-2015 Flemington 7 – Mongolian Khan -OFFICIALLY out of the Melbourne Cup, colic attack,” Racing Victoria Stewards tweeted.
