A perfect rails hugging ride from Craig Williams saw the heavily backed Madam Gangster ($3.10 favourite) score her fourth win on the trot after racking up a hat trick of wins before she was sent for a spell over the hotter Summer months.

Madam Gangster was able to acquire some very valuable Black Type for her future broodmare days with her win in the Group 3 fillies and mares race and trainer Lee Hope will now head to either the Adelaide or Sydney Autumn Carnival for her next run looking for more Black Type wins.

“She just felt the heat a little bit so we give her two weeks at home and try and get her ready for last week or this week and it sort of worked out well this week,” winning trainer Lee Hope said.

“We will look at that (Sydney) and there even could be Adelaide. So we will go home, we will see how she pulls up and we will work it out.”

Williams was at his best and never had to go around a horse and after settling third on the fence in the run, slipped up along the rails on the inside of the leader, Whistle Baby, at the 300m and the race was all over.

The David Hayes and Tom Dabernig trained Girl Guide ($7) ran her best race for a while to run second with Nadeem Lass ($26) running on late for third.

Williams made it a winning double for the day after scoring earlier on Amorino in the Group 3 $150,000 TAB Rewards Stakes (1400m).
