Promising stayer Let’s Make Adeal is being prepared to take on the top quality horses during the Autumn Carnivals with the Group 1 $2.25m The BMW (2400m) at Rosehill on April 5 her main aim.

Flemington trained Nigel Blackiston is dreaming about winning his second  BMW with Let’s Make Adeal after conquering the high profile weight for age contest with  Littorio in 2010.

Let’s Make Adeal just failed to qualify for a start in last year’s Group 1 $6m Emirates Melbourne Cup (3200m) at Flemington and even though Blackiston would have loved to have a runner in the famous race, he is now glad his mare missed.

“It might have been a blessing,” Blackiston told AAP.

“If she had got in and we had gone that way, she might have been too immature at the time.

“But she’ll be more mature, stronger, a bit more seasoned and I think she’s a really exciting mare.”

While Blackiston thinks that Let’s Make Adeal will be at her best in the Spring later in the year, he is prepared to give her a chance in the Autumn, kicking off her campaign in the Group 2 $220,000 Carlton Draught Peter Young Stakes (1800m) at Caulfield on February 22.

Blackiston has then pencilled in the Group 1 $1m Darley Australian Cup (2000m) at Flemington on March 8 before heading to Sydney for the Group 1 $500,000 Ranvet Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill on March 22 as the final lead up to The BMW.

Let’s Make Adeal has been back in the stable for a month following a short summer break and Blackiston is ready to step up her track work.

“She has just started to do a bit of evens (in trackwork),” Blackiston told AAP.

“She had a month off and she’s done super.”

Even though Let’s Make Adeal is only the winner of two restricted races, the Red Ransom mare showed her staying potential during the 2013 Melbourne Spring Carnival and had no luck when one and a quarter lengths fourth to Sea Moon in the Group 2 $220,000 Sportingbet Herbert Power Stakes (2400m) at Caulfield on October 12.

Then she failed by a neck to quality for the Melbourne Cup when second to Ruscello in the Group 3 $300,000 Lexus Stakes (2500m) at Flemington on Derby before running third to Precedence the following week in the Group 3 $300,000 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2600m) at Flemington.
