The Lindsay Park Team of David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig decided against backing up Seaburge in a week after running second to Divine Prophet in the Group 1 $1m Ladbrokes Caulfield Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield last Saturday and the Sebring colt will now head to the Group 2 $200,000 Moonee Valley Vase (2040m) at Moonee Valley on October 22.

At the time of his withdrawal from the Ladbrokes Classic Seaburge was at the top of the market order at $3.30 ahead of Good Standing at $3.90.

Good Standing is now the $2.60 favourite ahead of the Kiwi colt Highlad at $6.50 and the Team Hawkes trained Inference at $7.50.

Good Standing has only been placed once from four Spring Carnival starts when third two starts back to Impending in the Group 2 $200,000 Stan Fox Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill on September 24 before running seventh to Divine Prophet in the Caulfield Guineas last week.

Blake Shinn will be able to give Good Standing the run of the race from barrier three while Damien Oliver will have to find all the breaks on Highlad from the outside gate in the thirteen horse field.

Hugh Bowman was aboard Good Standing in the Caulfield Guineas but has decided to stick with the Chris Waller trained Wine Bush ($12) who he rode to victory in the Listed $120,000 UCI Stakes (1800m) at Flemington on October 2.

Market order for the Ladbrokes Caulfield Classic at Ladbrokes.com.au: $2.60 Good Standing, $6.50 Highlad, $7.50 Inference, $8.50 Throssell, $12 Rocketeer, Wine Bush, Waterloo Sunset, $13 Kent, $15 Odeon, $26 Beach Life, $41 Wimborne, $81 Positive Carry, $101 Larrikin.
