Pierro will be looking to continue his flawless race record that has seen him win all eight of his career starts and earn more than $3.15 million in prize money.

The Lonhro colt has successfully made the step up from two-year-old superstar to three-year-old champion with two brilliant wins at Group level this spring carnival.

His most recent victory came in the Group 2 Bill Stutt Stakes, which he won by an unbelievable five lengths on September 28.

Prior to that, Pierro won his first-up start in the Group 3 The Run To The Rose ahead of a classy field of fellow three-year-olds.

Trainer Gai Waterhouse is as confident as ever Pierro will continue his unbeaten career after witnessing his impressive track work gallop at Flemington this morning.

“Amazing, this colt is just amazing,” said Waterhouse.

“You won’t see a better track gallop.

“I’ve got to work him on his own these days because he just breaks the hearts of his galloping companions.”

Pierro will have to face the likes of Black Caviar’s half-brother All Too Hard and Golden Rose winner Epaulette in this weekend’s Caulfield Guineas.

All Too Hard will be looking to regain his winning form in the Guineas after failing to win a start this spring.

The Casino Prince colt finished fourth in his most recent run in the Group 1 George Main Stakes at Royal Randwick Racecourse.

Epaulette, on the other hand, has won two of his three starts this preparation, including the $1 million Golden Rose last month.

The Commands colt already has the Group 3 Caulfield Guineas Prelude to his name and will be out to snare the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas from hot favourite Pierro this Saturday.

Epaulette has won four of his seven race starts and has earned more than $980,000 in prize money.

The barrier draw for the Caulfield Guineas is due to be released at 12.30am AEDT.
