The Peter Moody trained two year old is a winner of his only two starts and heads the market order for the Inglis Premier at $4.40 with Ladbrokes.com.au.

Moody took the Reward For Effort colt to Geelong on December 6 to break his Maiden and then fronted up in town to win an 1100m two year old plate at Caulfield on Boxing Day.

Hell Of An Effort has led in both his wins with Linda Meech in the saddle and she will probably use similar tactics on Saturday after the colt draw well at barrier three in the thirteen horse field.

And Moody is going to the races confident that Hell Of An Effort can continue on his winning run and chalk up a hat trick of wins.

“He is going well enough. If his form says he is good enough, he is going there every bit as well and healthy as his last couple,” Moody told racing.com.

On the second line of betting at $5.50 is the Chris Waller trained unraced Snitzel filly Gretna who has barrier trialled twice at Rosehill recently for a third and a second.

Hell Of An Effort’s stablemate Nasdex is also well in the betting and the Not A Single Doubt filly has been well supported, firming in from $9.50 to be on the third line of betting at $6.50.

Hell Of An Effort has been a great money spinner for the Wyle Dalziel Roy Higgins Racing Syndicate and his huge bunch of owners, collecting $110,300 in prizemoney and winning VOBIS Bonuses from his two race wins after being a $35,000 yearling purchase at the Inglis Sales.

“He is a lovely horse and great to see Wylie Dalziel and his team have a bit of luck with that type of horse,” Moody said.

“It opens the door and opportunity for these people to have a bit of joy and then maybe come back and reinvest within the industry.”

“And with a horse like him they have had a good win fall with his two runs and may that continue through the Inglis series here on Saturday and we can get them to reinvest maybe in a few more nice horses come the next lot of sales.”

Hell Of An Effort is also among the third declarations for the Group 1 $1.5m Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on February 27 and is marked at $17 in the market.

Inglis Premier market order at Ladbrokes.com.au: $4.40 Hell Of An Effort, $5.50 Gretna, $6.50 Nasdex, $7 Dalradian, Valliano, $11 Hey Doc, $13 Lessyd, Curvature, $18 Segovia, $26 Fuse, $41 Solo Lane, Watch My Shadow, $126 She’s Going Off.
