Temple Of Boom has had a freshen up since beating one home when fourteenth to Boban in the Group 1 $400,000 New Zealand Bloodstock Memsie Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on August 29 and bookies at Ladbrokes.com.au have posted the nine year old as the $4.80 favourite.

While Temple Of Boom failed to fire in the Memsie Stakes, his previous run in the Group 2 $175,000 McGrath Estate Agents Missile Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on August 8 when third to Burbero was good.

Gollan has accepted with five runners in the George Moore Stakes and he has agreed with the bookies and has Temple Of Boom as the pick of his team.

“I couldn’t pick anything ahead of old Temple as he’s my favourite horse,” Gollan told Queensland Racing News

“But Fontelina is also going terrific. He’s third up and you have to forget his last run when he was on the worst part of the track.”

“He’s (Temple Of Boom) is going well and he has really good legs but it’s fair to say this could be his last season.”

“He’s a real happy horse. He’s a good chance but he could be a little vulnerable coming off a break.”

Fontelina is on the third line of betting at $7 while Gollan’s other top George Moore Stakes chance Didntcostalot is sandwiched in between at $5.50 while stablemates Casual Choice at $26 and Gundy Spirit at $41 are a couple of outsiders of the field.

The Kelly Schweida trained Miss Cover Girl is also well in the betting at $5.50, firming in from $6 with some early support.

Consistent five year old Architect has a win and three placings at his last four starts and is marked at $7.50 with the Doug Roberts trained Charge Account the only other runner under double figures at $9.

George Moore Stakes market order at Ladbrokes.com.au: $4.80 Temple Of Boom, $5.50 Didntcostalot, Miss Cover Girl, $7 Fontelina, $7.50 Architect, $9 Charge Account, $11 Top Tone, $15 Feltre, $16 Le Val, $26 Casual Charge, $41 Neo, Gundy Spirit.
