Kiwi co-trainers Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman have decided to put the blinkers on La Luna Rossa in the Thousand Guineas after the Written Tycoon filly finished second to Legless Veuve in the Group 2 $200,000 Schweppes Thousand Guineas Prelude (1400m) at Caulfield on September 24.

La Lune Rossa has drawn nicely at barrier seven with Damien Oliver keeping the ride.

Legless Veuve with Mark Zahra in the saddle again will be chasing a hat trick of wins after beating La Luna Rossa in the Thousand Guineas Prelude which followed her win in a 1205m Maiden at Sale on September 11.

Harlow Gold from the Lindsay Park stables of co-trainers David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig has found form at the right time with wins from her last two starts in a 1400m Pakenham Maiden on September 1 and in a 1600m three year old Handicap at Caulfield on September 17.

Harlow Gold will wear the winkers for the first time in the Thousand Guineas and will jump from the inside gate with Regan Bayliss in the saddle again.

Harlow Gold will show the Melbourne Fillies are better than Sydney. She is quality and will win this on the way through to winning the Oaks. Regan Bayliss will also wide his first group 1.
