The rising six-year-old has raced exclusively in Queensland throughout her career and has recorded impressive results at black level in the last twelve months with victories in the Listed Just Now Handicap (1500m), 2013 Spear Chief Quality (1500m) and Centenary Mercedes-Benz Mile (1600m).

Trainer Robert Heathcote has been delighted with the Bradbury’s Luck mares form and has made the decision to finally give her an opportunity interstate.

Fire Up Fifi will join stable stars Buffering and Solzhenitsyn on a Spring Racing Carnival campaign and is set to return to the races in the Group 3 Sheraco Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens before her major assignment in the Group 1 Myer Classic (1600m) on Victoria Derby day.

“She again had a super carnival and won a couple of Listed races,” Heathcote told Racing Ahead.

“I’m bringing her down to Sydney for the Sheraco Stakes, on the same day as Solzhenitsyn in the Theo Marks, so they will travel down there together and continue on to Melbourne.

“The Myer Classic looks like a nice race for her, it’s going to be very hard for her in a Group 1 at that level but she has shown enough to be worthy of entering a race like that.”

Fire Up Fifi is yet to make her debut at Group 1 level but was far from disgraced in her maiden Group 2 and Group 3 appearances during the 2013 Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival.

She finished fifth behind Belltone in the Group 3 BRC Sprint (1350m) before running a close fourth to Red Tracer, who went on to win the Group 1 Tattersalls Tiara (1400m) at her next start, in the Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes (1400m).
