Tinto will return to racing in the 2015 Coolmore Classic this weekend and the performance of the talented mare in the Group 1 event at Rosehill Gardens will dictate which races she contests for the remainder of the 2015 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.

Tinto was included in the first acceptances for the Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m), Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) and Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) that were released yesterday and Lipp told Racing Ahead that a decision on which races he will target with his star galloper will be made after she runs in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) this weekend.

“We have accepted in the Doncaster, we have accepted in the Queen Elizabeth and in the Queen Of The Turf,” Lipp said.

“After Saturday we will sit down and work out a plan on which way we go and we have left our options open with her.

“Whether she gets a run in the Doncaster and those type of races remains to be seen and if we don’t get in either of those two we will probably go to the Queen Of The Turf.”

While Lipp is not sure what path Tinto will follow for the rest of the 2015 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival, he is confident that he has her where she needs to be heading into the Coolmore Classic this weekend.

Tinto had very little luck when she returned to racing with a sixth place finish in the Group 3 Guy Walter Stakes (1400m) at Warwick Farm on February 28, but Lipp believes that the Red Dazzler mare has taken improvement from the run and had trained on strongly ahead of the toughest test of her racing career to date.

“She is not a brilliant beginner and you couldn’t go to the fence and if you went wide you had no hope,” Lipp said of the Guy Walter Stakes.

“She tracked them into the race, had a bit of a checkered run and she if she got a better run she probably finishes a lot closer.

“I haven’t done a lot with her since then because I am mindful that it might make her a little bit dour.

“She has done very well down here and she will only have gallop this week, I will gallop her tomorrow morning and that will be the only gallop.

“Her work has been good and everything has been going straight ahead with her and everything is on track.”

The 2015 Coolmore Classic field will be released tomorrow and Tinto is set to takes on the likes of First Seal, Dear Demi, Bonaria, Diamond Drille, Arabian Gold and Plucky Belle in the Group 1 event at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.
