Combat Kitty has won the Lexus Hybrid Plate at Flemington Racecourse today in a swarming finish.

The three-year-old filly burst from the pack to take the win from second place-getter Mabsam and third place-getter And Rock.

It was the second career win for Combat Kitty from just seven starts, who hasn’t won since her maiden victory in December last year.

The lightly raced filly finished second by a nose to Hot Snitzel in the Listed Brian Crowley Stakes last start and went one better in today’s race.

The win added $90,000 to the prize money of Combat Kitty, who has now earned close to $450,000.

The General Nediym filly was originally purchased at the 2010 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sales and us now trained by Matthew Smith at Warwick Farm.
