Horses from the Waller stable total eight in the seventeen entries received with the Tattersall’s Club extending nominations until 11am on Tuesday September 2.

Royal Descent, Sacred Falls, Hawkspur and Weary have been entered following their runs in the Group 2 $175,000 Pro-Ride Warwick Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on August 23.

Others from the Waller stable are Bagman, winner of his last two starts in Melbourne, Junoob, Moriarty and Our Voodoo Prince.

Weary has also been entered in the Group 2 $175,000 Tramway Stakes (1400m) on Saturday with the winner of this race being exempt from the ballot for the Group 1 $500,000 The Star Epsom (1600m) at Randwick on October 4.

Waller will also nominate Sacred Falls, Hawkspur and Royal Descent along with Foreteller for the Group 2 $250,000 Dato’ Tan Chin Nam Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley but said that would probably stay in Sydney.

“”Foreteller will go to the Dato Tan Chin Nam at Moonee Valley and we will probably nominate Sacred Falls, Hawkspur and Royal Descent as well,” Waller told AAP.

“But the latter three are unlikely to go to Melbourne with the Chelmsford Stakes the preferred option.”

Jim Cassidy will back in action at Randwick on Saturday just into time to partner Hawkspur in an attempt to repeat last year’s win in the Chelmsford Stakes.

Australian Derby winner Criterion is also entered in the Chelmsford Stakes and the 1600m will suit the David Payne trained stallion second up after an encouraging third to Tiger Tees in the Warwick Stakes.

Peter Moody has entered two, Lidari, who ran a solid first up fifth to Star Rolling in the Group 2 $200,000 Back To Caulfield P.B. Lawrence Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on August 16 and Kitten On The Run who was unplaced in restricted class at Caulfield on the same day.

In-form trainer Joe Pride also has two nominated, Canny Ballad and Laser Hawk while Team Hawkes will be represented with the improving Entirely Platinum who scored first up over 1400m at Rosehill on August.

At Randwick last Saturday week Pride saddled up the winners of half the eight race program with the first race and last race winners Rock Sturdy and Diamond Oasis and feature race winners Terravista in the Group 3 $125,000 Show County Quality (1200m) and Tiger Tees in the Warwick Stakes.
