Fresh off the back of their huge deal in New Zealand, Sky Racing has secured their partnership with Racing and Wagering Western Australia for the next five years.

The new deal will also see the development of provincial racing throughout Western Australia.

Broome Turf Club is perhaps the best off after the deal with Sky to broadcast from the northern community during their flagship winter carnival.

Betting opportunities will be vastly increased with both Broome and Esperance the new centres open to punters.

“The expansion of the thoroughbred coverage by Sky Racing to racing centres in the two coastline destinations of Esperance and Broome provides a win-win for racing and tourism in our State,” RWWA general manager racing, Ken Norquay said.

Chief Operating Officer of Sky racing Brendan Parnell said Western Australian racing has a big advantage to racing fans given the distinct time zone opening all new race scheduling.

“Western Australian racing is uniquely positioned because of its time zone to realise benefits within Australia and globally. Western Australian racing is proven to be attractive to wagering customers both in Australia and abroad,” Parnell said.
