Black Caviar made it twenty from twenty when she took out the Group 1 $400,000 Sportingbet Classic (1200m) with ridiculous ease, equalling the feats of Gloaming and Desert Gold.

Also known as the Robert Sangster Stakes, the fillies and mares weight for age race is the first step for the world’s greatest sprinter on her journey to England to run in the Group 1 £500,000 The Diamond Jubilee Stakes (1200m) at Royal Ascot on June 23.

Trainer Peter Moody will return to Morphettville in two weeks to give Black Caviar her final hit out in the Group 1 $500,000 The Distinctive Homes Goodwood (1200m) before heading off overseas.

Nolan said his ‘Queen of the sprinters’ was absolutely awesome and he gave her a trouble free run to ease her down over the final 200m to score by four and a half lengths over Sistine Angel for Michelle Payne with Power Princess with Paul Gatt just behind in third spot.

The mighty mare was sent out at $1.05 favourite and ran 1.10.65s  for the 1200m.

Moody was pleased with what he saw and will take Black Caviar back to Caulfield before returning to Adelaide in a fortnight.

“It’s good to get that behind us. She had a nice gallop, happy days,” Moody said.

“She hasn’t let us down yet, she’s in great shape and it’s just fabulous to see the people here enjoying her today. I was pretty happy with where she was. Luke has great faith in her ability. I don’t think we’ve ever had too much concern.”

Moody explained how Black Caviar takes all the excitement of the day in her stride and is such a pleasure to work with and is very relaxed around the stables.

“She’s a remarkable horse.” Moody said.

Nolen was very excited coming back to scale on Black Caviar and was glad that the champ didn’t disappoint any of the 30,000 crowd.

“It’s unbelievable,” Nolen said describing the atmosphere surrounding them.
