Leading trainer Peter Moody believes superstar mare Black Caviar is at peak fitness ahead of her arduous journey to England tomorrow night.

The Royal Ascot bound sprinter paraded in front of a huge media turnout this morning in what will be her last public appearance before she arrives in the UK.

Moody has purposely conditioned the unbeaten star to top fitness to allow her to have an easy few weeks before she competes in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes on June 23.

“She’s paraded today, probably the fittest she’s ever paraded in her life,” Moody said.

“I’ve purposely done that for the fact that I don’t want to have to train her for the next two weeks to 18 days.

“She’s getting on the plane tomorrow night the fittest she’s ever been in her career, I’ve got no doubt.”

Undefeated from 21 starts, the Bel Esprit five-year-old has dominated all comers in her career to date and Moody believes the Diamond Jubilee Stakes will be no different.

“It’s great to be taking a horse of her calibre to showcase her on the world stage,” Moody said.

“It’s pretty much like her last eight or 10 starts. Facts and figures tell you there is not a horse out there that can beat her.”

If Black Caviar does as expected and wins the Diamond Jubilee Stakes, it will see her awe-inspiring resume go to 12 Group 1 victories and take her prize pool to more than $6 million.

Previously labelled as “equine perfection” by regular jockey Luke Nolen, Black Caviar is currently being offered at $1.30 by most bookmakers to win the Diamond Jubilee with British sprinter Bated Breath the next best chance at $7.00.

Fellow Australian-bred horses Ortenisa ($14.00) and Sepoy ($17.00) are also considered some of the top chances in the market but it is unclear who will line up against the wonder mare as she has a tendency to scare off rival trainers.
