The Peter and Paul Snowden trained Attention is due to start stud duties at Aquis Farm in the up-coming Spring breeding season and another win at Group 2 level would greatly increase his reputation.

Attention had success during the 2016 Brisbane Winter Carnival as a two year old with a win in the Group 2 $250,000 Mitavite BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1350m) at Doomben and is coming off a last fourth to Savanna Amour in the Group 3 $125,000 Gold Coast Guineas (1200m) at the Gold Coast on May 6.

Paul Snowden said that the Stratum colt had come through his latest run in fine order and was keep up to the mark with a 1000m Gold Coast barrier trial win on May 23.

“He had a trial at the Gold Coast and won it, so he is ticking over nicely,” Paul Snowden told AAP.

“We will make up our minds about his future after Saturday’s race.”

Attention is one of four horses Team Snowden has entered for the Moreton Cup which has been reduced in distance from 1300m to 1200m after being transferred from Eagle Farm and is joined by stablemates Dothraki, Gold Symphony and Snippet’s Land in the nominations.

Dothraki has also won a 900m barrier trial at Rosehill on May 26 since running third in the Listed $150,000 Ortensia Stakes (1100m) at Scone on May 13 and Gold Symphony is also coming off a Scone run when third behind Group 1 Kingsford-Smith Cup winner Clearly Innocent in the Listed $150,000 Luskin Star Stakes (1300m).

Snippets Land already has had a run during the Brisbane Winter Carnival for a sixth to Jungle Edge in the Group 3 $125,000 Taxibox BRC Sprint (1350m) at Doomben on May 20.
