After winning The Galaxy in Sydney, Atomic Force will head to the Brisbane Winter Carnival

Fresh off the back of his unlikely victory in The Galaxy Group 1 at Randwick Atomic Force is on track to bring his winning ways to Queensland.

The gelding trained by Darren Smith is said to be in outstanding shape after a huge victory on Saturday when he was easily the best across a heavy Randwick track.

“He’s pulled up as well as we could have hoped so why not,” Dynamic Syndications Dean Watt said.

His first test north of the border will be in the Group 2 Victory Stakes over 1200m on April 30 worth $175,000.

From there he could be in line for a clash with Black Caviar in his next Group 1 challenge, the BTC Cup a fortnight later worth $400,000.

Tim Clark, the jockey who has shared career changing success with Atomic Force, will unfortunately not be able to take the ride, at least for the first race due to other personal commitments.

There will be no shortage of other riders lining up for the challenge though with Atomic Force one of  the best performing horses from the Sydney Carnival with two big wins putting him alongside the champion More Joyous.
