Arinosa, the most improved mare in Australia, toyed with her opposition to score by four and a quarter lengths over the Gai Waterhouse trained Miss Stellabelle ($12) with longshot Forarainyday ($61) falling into third spot.

Sydney’s leading trained Chris Waller will now send Arinosa to the paddock for a couple a weeks before preparing her for a Brisbane Winter Carnival campaign with the Group 1 $500,000 Sky Racing Tattersall’s Tiara (1400m) at Eagle Farm on June 22 her main target.

“We left our run a bit late for Sydney, just a week or two in the paddock and get ready for the Tattersall’s Tiara in Queensland and hopefully that’s her chance for a Group 1.”

Arinosa started her winning win in the Spring taking out the 1400m Greys race at Flemington before she went for a break.

The Dash For Cash mare resumed from a spell with a first up win at Warwick Farm before winning the Group 3 $125,000 Ascend Sales Trophies Birthday Card Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on March 30.

Waller can’t pin point the reason why Arinosa has improved so much but has noticed her grow in confidence after every win.

“It’s amazing what she’s done and something you can’t explain,” Waller said.

“She just goes from one step to another and she’s taking on better horses and still winning so it’s something quite unbelievable.”

Arinosa ($4.80 favourite) strode a way in the straight to score a dominant win for Brenton Avdulla who has been aboard the grey for her last four wins.
