The 2015 Cox Plate is the feature race at Moonee Valley tomorrow, but there are still plenty of other exciting racing set to take place through the entire afternoon.

The Crystal Mile is arguably the second most exciting race on the card and it always a key lead-up race to the Emirates Stakes, while the likes of the Moonee Valley Cup, Moonee Valley Vase and the Fillies Classic will all be key form references for the rest of the 2015 Spring Racing Carnival.

Below are our Tips for every race at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate Day.

Race 1 – Inglis Banner

There is not a great deal of exposed form in this field, but this race often produces a talent horse and it was won by beaten Blue Diamond Stakes Fontiton last year.

Selections

  • 1st No. 9 Sweet Sherry
  • 2nd No. 3 Credible Witness
  • 3rd No. 1 Dalradian
  • 4th No. 11 Pearl Congenial

Race 2 – City Jeep Handicap

This is easily the weakest field on Cox Plate Day, but there is still plenty of speed in the race and there are a number of good betting opportunities available.

Selections

  • 1st No. 6 Tawteen
  • 2nd No. 2 Diamond Oasis
  • 3rd No. 5 Solsay
  • 4th No. 8 Grane

Race 3 – Group 2 Fillies Classic

This is a tricky race to analyse as there are a number of different form lines that are set to converge. There is the chance that horses that run well in this race will back-up in the Myer Classic or potentially step-up in trip for the Crown Oaks.

Selections

  • 1st No. 1 My Poppette
  • 2nd No. 3 Don’t Doubt Mamma
  • 3rd No. 8 Thames Court
  • 4th No. 4 Seeking Asylum

Race 4 – Telstra Phoneworlds Stakes

It is unlikely that any of the horses in this field will trouble the big guns in the Coolmore Stud Stakes, but there is an excellent betting opportunity in this race as Mawahibb looks like one of the best bets on the entire care.

Selections

  • 1st No. 3 Mawahibb
  • 2nd No. 1 Holler
  • 3rd No. 6 Ability
  • 4th No. 4 More Than Most

Race 5 – Crockett Stakes

Serene Majesty is clearly the horse to beat in the Crockett Stakes and she is deserving of that status, but I think that there is a roughie at double figure odds that can record an upset win.

Selections

  • 1st No. 6 Miss Gidget
  • 2nd No. 1 Serene Majesty
  • 3rd No. 10 Valley Sweetheart
  • 4th No. 4 Harlem River

You can take advantage of the Cox Plate Day Bonus with Ladbrokes. Have a fixed odds win bet in Races 1 through to 5 this Saturday at Moonee Valley and if your FIRST BET in any of these races is a winner they will give you 50% extra on top.

The Moonee Valley Cup field lost a lot of its quality when Let’s Make Adeal was scratched earlier in the week, but it is still a very interesting race. The United States is set to start favourite, but there are a number of talent stayers that loom as the main dangers.

Selections

  • 1st No. 3 Prince Of Penzance
  • 2nd No. 7 The United States
  • 3rd No.  11 Bohemian Lily
  • 4th No. 2 Big Memory

Race 7 – The Moonee Valley Vase

The three-year-old colts, geldings and filles are all set to clash in what will be an intriguing form race heading towards the Crown Oaks and the Victoria Derby. There are a number of winning chances and Tarzino looks a touch short at his current odds.

Selections

  • 1st No. 11 Jameka
  • 2nd No. 10 Pasadena Girl
  • 3rd No. 4 Tarzino
  • 4th No. 1 Shards

Race 8 – Crystal Mile

The Crystal Mile features what I believe is the best bet of the day at Moonee Valley tomorrow. Lucky Hussler was simply outstanding in the Toorak Handicap and it is tough to see any of his rivals turning-the-tables in the Crystal Mile.

Selections

  • 1st No. 1 Lucky Hussler
  • 2nd No. 11 Turn Me Loose
  • 3rd No. 6 Bow Creek
  • 4th No. 9 Sons Of John

Race 9 – Cox Plate

This is a simply outstanding edition of the Cox Plate. You can make a case for just about every horse in the Cox Plate field and luck in running will play a key role, but I believe that there are a number of gallopers that have a slight edge on their competition in the Australasian Weight-For-Age Championship.

Selections

  • 1st No. 1 Criterion
  • 2nd No. 8 Arod
  • 3rd No. 13 Highland Reel
  • 4th No. 10 Gailo Chop

Race 10 – Tesio Stakes

This is a tough way to finish for punters as this is a very even race. Azkadellia has opened as favourite, but I quite fancy a roughie that is currently available at big odds of $26.

Selections

  • 1st No. 6 No Tricks
  • 2nd No. 8 Lucky Lago
  • 3rd No. 12 Azkadellia
  • 4th No. 10 Ballet Suite
