Three time Sydney jockey premiership winner Nash Rawiller has been granted a four month riding contract with the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

Rawiller will finish his ten week riding stint in Japan for trainer Noriyuki Hori and owner Kazuko Yoshida on September 14 and take up duties in Hong Kong from September 21 until January 21, 2015.
“This opportunity has come along to ride in Hong Kong and I am absolutely over the moon about it,” Rawiller told Racing Ahead HQ.
“It is something that I always wanted to do and never really had the right opportunity to seize that and now is the right time to really go there and have a crack.”
Rawiller has been among the top echelon of Australian riders for several years and as well as being the leading Sydney rider for three of the last four years, he has also been the leading Group 1 jockey for two of the last three years with eleven Group 1 winners in 2011-2012 and eight in the 2013-2014 season.
And even though Rawiller is currently riding in Japan and hasn’t ridden in Australia since the end of June, he is still has a chance to win the current Sydney jockey’s title with himself and James McDonald level pegging on seventy wins going into today’s final meeting of the season at Warwick Farm.
McDonald has been desperately trying to run down Rawllier in the past few weeks and gets his chance to win his first Sydney jockey premiership if he can boot home one winner from his four mounts today.
Rawiller has also proven himself on the world stage and as well as riding winners on his current sojourn in Japan won the 2005 Group 1 US$625,000 Dubai Duty Free (1777m) at Nad Al Sheeba Racecourse in Dubai on the Tony Vasil trained Elvstroem.
Rawiller has also had success in Hong Kong during the 2010 International Jockeys’ Championship at Happy Valley Racecourse with a won on the Me Tsui trained Record High.
In recent times as stable rider for the powerful Gai Waterhouse stable Rawiller was associated with the multiple Group 1 winning mare More Joyous and collected the 2012 two year old triple crown on super star Pierro with wins in the Group 1 $3.5m AAMI Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill, Group 1 $500,000 Inglis Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) and the Group 1 $400,000 Moet & Chandon Champagne Stakes (1600m) at Randwick.
