Murt The Flirt won the Ballarat Magic Million Classic as a three-year-old in 2014 and trainer Brendan Mccarthy took advantage of the new conditions of the race, which allowed four-year-olds the opportunity to compete, to win the race for the second year in a row at Ballarat on November 21.

The Murtajill gelding will have the opportunity to improve on his fifth place finish in the Wyong Magic Millions Stakes last year before he heads to the Magic Millions Raceday at the Gold Coast on January 9.

The Ballarat Magic Millions Classic is set to be the key lead-up race to the Wyong Magic Millions Stakes as third placegetter Illustrious Lad will receive the opportunity to turn-the-tables on Murt The Flirt.

One of the most interesting runners in the 2015 Wyong Magic Millions Stakes is Bjorn Baker-trained Egyptian Symbol, who has recorded three wins from as many starts since making her racing debut.

Egyptian Symbol made her racing debut with a narrow victory in the Peroni Nastro Azzuroo Maiden (1000m) at Kembla Grange on July 14 and he hit the line strongly in the final stages to take out the XXXX Gold Handicap (1100m) at Gosford on November 12 as well as the Black Diamond Cup (1200m) at Kembla Grange on December 6.

Another key galloper in the Wyong Magic Millions Stakes field is Team Snowden-trained Flippant, who will start her summer campaign in the $100,000 event.

Flippant stamped herself as a two-year-old with plenty of promise when she took out the Listed Woodlands Stakes (1100m) at Scone on May 16 and the Listed Lancaster Stakes (1200m) at Doomben on June 6, but she failed to fire when she returned to the races in the Listed Brian Crowley Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick on October 17.

A post-race veterinary examination showed that the daughter of Hinchinbrook had suffered from cardiac arrhythmia and received a laceration to the off-fore heel bulb, so Team Snowden are hopeful that she can return to her best in the Wyong Magic Millions Stakes.

Flippant will be joined in the Wyong Magic Millions Stakes by stablemate Stravigo, who recorded his maiden race win at Canterbury on November 27.

Queen Of Kariba (barrier eight), Petrossian (barrier six), Flamboyant Lass (barrier one), Positive Charge (barrier two), Lindy Lou (barrier seven) and Pretty Snazzy (barrier ten) round out the 2015 Wyong Magic Millions Stakes Field.
