Mr Moet has not been seen at the races since he finished sixth in the Group 2 Cox Stakes (2100m) in December last year, but the talented gelding is now available at 2014 Railway Stakes odds of $11 and has been the best-backed runner in betting markets for the Group 1 event that will be held at Ascot this afternoon.

Mr Moet took out the 2012 edition of the Railway Stakes first-up and punters are confident that the Mosayter gelding can replicate that feat this afternoon and he has been backed from $15 into $11 over the last 48 hours.
Trainer Adam Durrant opted to give Mr Moet two barrier trials at Lark Hill instead of a race start in the lead-up to the Railway Stakes and he told Radio TAB during the week that he is happy with the fitness levels of the Group 1 winner ahead of his return to racing this afternoon.
“His fitness is no problem at all,” said Durrant on TAB Radio.
“We don’t send our horses to the races on the soft side and you don’t have to go to the races to be rock hard fit.
“With our systems we can get the work into them.
“I think the timing is perfect for him and its luck at the right time.
“If he can get that I have no doubt he will run in the first three.”
While there has been plenty of money for Mr Moet in the Railway Stakes betting markets in the past 24 hours, there has been very little support for both Moriarty ($21 out to $15) and Alma’s Fury ($11 out to $15) after they both drew outside barriers.
Moriarty is dropping back in distance after finishing a credible eighth in the Group 1 Mackinnon Stakes (2000m) at Flemington on Victoria Derby Day and has not recorded a race win over a mile since he took out the 2013 edition of the Listed City Tattersalls Club Handicap (1600m) at Royal Randwick in October of 2012.
Alma’s Fury stamped himself as a genuine Railway Stakes contender when he finished second behind subsequent Emirates Stakes winner Hucklebuck in the Group 3 Yellowglen Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on November 1, but he has been abandoned by punters in the lead-up to the Railway Stakes after he was allocated barrier 18.
The Cleaner ($4) remains a clear favourite in 2014 Railway Stakes betting markets from Elite Belle ($6.50) and Respondent ($7.50).
