Mosheen is said to be in top form ahead of the Vinery Stud Stakes tilt at Rosehill this weekend.

The three-year-old filly was nominated along with just six competitors for the Group 1 races, which will be her fifth of the autumn.

Mosheen has experienced success after success this campaign, winning her first-up start in the Listed Manfred Stakes before winning the Group 1 Australian Guineas in her third start.

The Fastnet Rock filly’s most recent victory came last start in the Group 1 Royal Randwick Guineas on March 17.

Trainer Robert Smerdon is confident the filly will continue her impressive winning run this weekend.

Mosheen left Smerdon over the moon after she impressed at trackwork this morning, where she ran 1,200 metres on the steeple grass at her home track of Caulfield.

She ran the course in a time of 1 minute and 18.6 seconds, while producing an encouraging final 600 metre sectional in 35.8 seconds.

“(Jockey) Dan (Nikolic) said he was really happy, and if he’s happy, we’re all happy,” Smerdon said.

“She will travel to Sydney on Thursday night and there is no reason to think she won’t win again.”

The Vinery Stud Stakes may be Mosheen’s last of the autumn, with a Group 1 AJC Oaks run not set in stone.

“In the back of our mind is the fact that she had a short break off the back of a tough spring and the Vinery will be her fifth run, and then you have to look to the spring,” Smerdon said.

“It could be her last run, but if she did everything well and recovered well, then we could consider the Oaks.”

Mosheen has won six of her 13 race starts and has earned almost $2.4 million in prize money during her extraordinary career.
