Six time Group winner Wall Street will rejoin the Mike Moroney stable after a change of ownership.

The 2010 Group 1 Emirates Stakes winner was bought by some of Moroney’s stable clients after an offer from Perth fell through.

Moroney’s brother Paul bought Wall Street (Montjeu-Villa Wanda) at the 2006 Karaka Sale for $NZ100,000.

After leg problems developed, the owners gave the horse to Jeff Lynds who won four Group 1 races with the now seven-year-old.

“It came about after there was an offer from Perth to buy the horse outright and some of the owners wanted out and some wanted to stay in,” Moroney said.

“Then I got a call and some of our stable clients have ended up buying in.

“We’ve sent him to the paddock and he’ll come back and possibly look at races like the Australian Cup or he may even head to Sydney,” Moroney said.

“We bought him as a yearling and have followed his career all the way through and now we’ve got him back later in life.”

Wall Street ran a good fourth in the 2011 W S Cox Plate after settling near the tail.

He developed colic days out from the Mackinnon Stakes and was scratched prior to running sixth when defending his Emirates Stakes title on November 5.
