Premiership winning trainer Peter Moody will line up two of his best hopes in the Group 2 Memsie Stakes at Caulfield tomorrow.

The trainer will run both Anacheeva and King’s Rose in the feature event, which has attracted a quality field of 13 runners.

Moody is hopeful Anacheeva will return to his winning form in the race after he was unable to win a start during his autumn campaign.

“He probably disappointed us a bit in the autumn,” Moody said.

If Anacheeva can prove he is back to his best form in tomorrow’s race, he will head towards the coveted Caulfield Cup on October 15, 2011.

“He’s probably on a Caulfield Cup path,” Moody predicted.

Four-year-old mare King’s Rose will also have her first-up start for the spring in tomorrow’s Memsie Stakes.

The Redoute’s Choice mare is a new addition to the Moody stable after originally being trained in New Zealand by Jason Bridgman.

“We were very pleased with her work,” Moody said.

“If she runs to her form… she should be running well wherever.

“(But) first go here around Caulfield is always a bit tricky.”

Moody will also line up Golden Archer and Metonymy in the Group 3 H.D.F. McNeil Stakes tomorrow.

“They both pleased us first up, both running second,” Moody said.

“Both horses are going into the McNeil in good shape and as you’ve seen there’s not an inch between them.”

The trainer is planning to bypass the Danehill Stakes on September 3 in order to avoid Peter Snowden’s Sepoy.

“Sepoy rules the roost in the Danehill (so) in the following weeks I’ll probably dodge him to be honest”

Luen Yat Forever has drawn barrier of 18 in the final race of the day at Caulfield tomorrow.

The six-year-old gelding had an unlucky autumn campaign, finishing second by a nose to Older Than Time in the Listed Sky High Stakes.

“This is his first prep for us from day one,” Moody said.

“We’re sort of finding our way with him.

“He looks unbelievably well and his work looks very… pleasing.”

Moody will also be represented by nine other horses at Caulfield, including Avenue, Plucky Belle and Cute Emily.
