Monsieur Gustave is one of twenty-two sprinters nominated for the Glasshouse Handicap and the four year old is looking for back to back feature race wins after getting the judge’s nod by the smallest possible margin in defeating In His Stride in the Listed $175,000 City Of Ipswich Eye Liner Stakes (1350m) at Ipswich on June 17.

The Rex Lip trained In His Stride is also among the nominations for the Glasshouse Handicap and will get his chance to reverse the placings over Monsieur Gustave.

Victoria’s leading trainer Darren Weir has entered Ulmann and the Sebring five year old will appreciate the huge drop in class after running eleventh to Impending in the Group 1 $1.5m Stradbroke Handicap (1350m) at Doomben on June 10.

Three starts back Ulmann won the Listed $150,000 Wangoom Handicap (1200m) at Warrnambool on May 3 and was then in the minor money when third to Jungle Edge in the Group 3 $125,000 Taxibox BRC Sprint (1350m) at Doomben on May 20.

The Desleigh Forster trainer Too Good To Refuse has put the writing on the wall at his last two starts and will be one of the major players again in the Glasshouse Handicap.

The Rothsay four year old came from last to be beaten a nose when second to Miss Gunpowder in the Listed $100,000 Makers Mark Hinkler Handicap (1200m) at Doomben on June 10 and then hit the line hard again when third behind Burning Passion and Irish Constabulary in the Group 3 $175,000 W.J. Healy Stakes (1200m) at Doomben last Saturday.

Team Snowden has nominated Snippets Land while Toby Edmonds has nominated The Virginian.
