Morphettville trainer Daniel Clarken expects his glamour filly Miracles Of Life to be back to her best when she resumes in the Listed $120,000 ATA/Bob Hoysted Handicap (1000m) at Flemington on Saturday.

Miracles Of Life captures the imagination of the Australian racing public when she went through her two year old season undefeated from four starts and climaxed with her win in last year’s Group 1 $1m Patinack Farm Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield when ridden by unheralded jockey Lauren Stojakovic.
But from her three runs in the Spring the Not A Single Doubt filly could only record one second from three starts when runner up to Thump in the Group 3 $150,000 TBV/Gallagher Bassett Champagne Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on September 27.
Clarken returned to Adelaide after his filly finished seventh of nine in the $250,000 Catanach’s Jewellers Blue Sapphire (1200m) at Caulfield on October 12 after a post-race endoscopy revealed that she had some internal pulmonary haemorrhage.
But he said that Miracles Of Life had completely recovered and he expected her to race at her top after coasting to an easy trial win at Morphettville this morning with Stojakovic in the saddle.
“Lauren didn’t release the hand-brake at any stage this morning and she won comfortably,” Clarken told Racing Network.
“It was the Open trial and she just sat on her.”
“The way things look at the moment we’ll be there on Saturday.
“I could not be happier, she looks great in the coat. She has good condition on her, she has had a big grow.
“She looks absolutely sensational.”
Saturday will be the first time that Stojakovic won’t be holding the reins on Miracles Of Life as she is still waiting for a clearance to resume riding in races after recovering from a broken wrist she suffered in a fall at Port Lincoln in early January.
“Lauren won’t be able to ride her on Saturday so we’ll look for a rider today,” Clarken said.
“We’ll be looking for a Melbourne-based rider not an Adelaide-based one.”
Miracles Of Life will be facing up against some tough sprinters in the Bob Hoysted Handicap including Pago Rock from the David Hayes stable, African Pulse from the Mike Moroney camp, short course specialist Canali and the Peter Moody trained Brilliant Bisc.
